I’ve been to plenty of other gulf coast beach towns, but never made it here. I went out on the pier, shopped a little and relaxed. I was going to be really early, which was fine, since I wanted to walk around. I spent an hour there taking pictures and looking around. Most of the place has closed down, but there is a hanger full of beautiful vintage aircraft that you can still see. I headed to Polk City and Fantasy of Flight. I willed myself into taking a shower and doing something. The reality was me getting up and getting my daughter to her mom, still in the shirt and shorts I slept in, then I went right back to the resort and slept until 12:30.
Then I was going go to some places that my daughter would have no interest in, finally getting her back in the evening. Then I was going to do Hollywood Studios alone, just to ride Tower of Terror and Rock n Rollercoaster myself, which I never get to ride (daughter is still too scared). The plan for today WAS to drop my daughter off with her mom half way to Tampa and then for her to stay with her mom until the evening, when I would meet them in Clearwater Beach.
